The upper part of Lake Norman is more ravine type lake, while the lower end is big, wide, and clear. Lake Norman striper fishing is good in the spring and fall. Crappie fishing on Lake Norman is especially good in the spring. Catfish, White Perch, and other panfishing is great all year long. Largemouth Bass fishing on Lake Norman is good most of the year along with the Spotted Bass fishing.
